A new stallion Chagall (BluebirdClystalla USA, by Pia Star), who is to stand at the Westpark property at Greenpark, outside Christchurch, has a mouth watering bloodline attraction for discerning breeders.
Wed like to take the time to introduce you to Chagall, a winning son of the great sire, Bluebird. He is a fine upstanding 16.2hh bay thoroughbred stallion with a marvelous temperament and confirmation, which has been passed on to his offspring.
Chagall came from Western Australia in 2001 where he raced under the name Musical Bird. He has now stood for three seasons in New Zealand with some outstanding results. Chagall has already left winning progeny in Australia with most of his offspring producing wins/places.
As
a racehorse, Chagall, like his sire Bluebird, was only lightly
raced, starting on 12 occasions for 3 wins, 1 second, 2 thirds and
1 fourth.
Chagall
won from 1200m to 1900m. AJC Peace Council Hcp. STC Ansett
Frequent Flyer Hcp, Phillips TV Superfecta Hcp (in class record time).
Chagall ran outstanding races in defeat finishing 3rd in the Group 2 AJC Hobartville Stakes behind Group 1 winners Navy Seal and Kingston Bay, 3rd in the Group 3 AJC Royal Sovereign Stakes to dual Group 1 winner Coronation Day.
Injury
led to Chagalls retirement from racing.
Chagall carries 3 lines of Lavendula and is a stakes placed half brother to November Rain and Star Style Girl dam of top NZ 2YO San Luis. Full brother to Group 1 winner, Race Master.
Chagall is presently standing at Greenpark, near Tai Tapu, just outside of Christchurch. He is locally owned and will spend the rest of his stud career in Canterbury.
